We seek a Lead Quality Engineer to define and execute the automation strategy, establish standards for test architecture, and guide cross-functional teams across vendors to ensure robust software quality in complex, external-service–driven systems.

Qualifications

• Establish software quality standards, test architecture guidelines, and defect prevention strategies.
• Architect, build, and maintain scalable E2E automated UI and API test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Partner with product managers, developers, and regulatory teams to evaluate requirements and assess risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering architecture and automation strategy for critical civic technology infrastructure.
• Serve as a software quality technical authority in an environment with multiple vendors and stakeholders.
