Job summary

ActioNet, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Tester to join our remote-friendly team, supporting government-related software projects. You will shape testing from design through release, blending manual insight with automation to deliver dependable, user-ready solutions.

Responsibilities include crafting test plans, executing manual and automated tests, identifying defects early, and communicating findings to developers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.
• 3+ years of automated testing experience (Selenium or similar).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of the full software development process (SDLC).
• Familiarity with SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with source-control tools (Git/TFS) and IDEs (e.g., Visual Studio).
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident able to obtain Government Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and development teams to understand system features and shape test strategies.
• Create comprehensive test plans and robust test cases for reliable solutions.
• Translate user stories into manual and automated test coverage.
• Identify defects, risks, and quality gaps early in development.
• Perform regression, post-release, and post-implementation testing.
• Document and communicate bugs clearly to support timely resolution.
• Execute manual and automated test cases and analyze results.
