Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to independently drive automated testing across an agile, DevSecOps environment for a government program. This 100% remote role requires designing and delivering automated tests, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring release readiness with rigorous quality metrics.

The candidate will own test strategies, RTMs, and accessibility testing, while collaborating with developers and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software quality assurance or related testing roles; BS/BA required, MS/MA preferred, HS diploma with 9 years experience acceptable
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• Experience designing automated test frameworks and scripts using Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Python, Java or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts across the application portfolio
• Integrate tests into the Government-managed DevSecOps pipeline with minimal oversight
• Mentor junior QA engineers on automation best practices
• Lead Section 508 / WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing and VPAT preparation
• Coordinate performance and environment testing in ProdSim and assist with DR testing
