Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Test Automation Engineer to design, build and maintain automated test solutions for enterprise applications, including accessibility testing and API validation. You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, work with DevSecOps and QA teams, and support performance testing across multiple systems.

The role is fully remote within the United States with core hours 8 AM–5 PM ET, Monday to Friday, and requires a Bachelor's degree plus extensive testing experience in a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline plus substantial software testing experience.
• Hands-on test automation with Selenium WebDriver, Java and modern tools.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with accessibility testing (508) and performance testing.
• Experience with REST APIs and relational data testing (SQL).
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, ALM and DevSecOps practices.
• Ability to obtain VA Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and execute automated test suites (functional, API, accessibility, regression).
• Design automated test frameworks and data-driven tests using SQL and test data sets.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows.
• Validate end-to-end functionality, integrations and data processing across enterprise apps.
• Monitor test execution, analyze results and drive defect resolution.
• Maintain test assets, documentation and test coverage across systems.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevSecOps to improve quality.
• Explore AI-assisted testing generation and reporting within the SDLC.
