Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for the Patient Care Services upgrade. The role focuses on functional, regression, API, and performance testing within CI/CD pipelines and a fully remote US-based setting.

You will work with development, DevSecOps, and QA teams to ensure test coverage across enterprise applications, including accessibility testing and AI-assisted tooling where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or technical discipline with 8+ years of software development, testing and QA experience.
• Proven hands-on test automation experience with Selenium WebDriver, Java, Jenkins and GitHub/Jira.
• Experience with 508-accessibility testing and CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with VA clinical applications (VistA/CPRS/FILEMAN) and related workflows.
• Experience writing relational SQL for test validation and data-driven testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, ALM and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated functional, regression, API, and non-functional test suites.
• Create automated API contract tests for REST services.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows.
• Validate functionality, business rules, API integrations, and data processing across systems.
• Design data-driven test scenarios using relational SQL.
