Job summary

CRH is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to drive sales for Home Depot and Lowe's national accounts across Virginia and West Virginia. This remote role requires base in Virginia, extensive travel, and a focus on hardware, fence, railing, and lattice products.

You will build relationships, train partners, and manage quotes while supporting merchandising initiatives. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in retail sales, strong communication and negotiation skills, and comfort working remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; HS degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of retail sales experience.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent training skills; ability to assess competencies of Home Center sales staff.
• Solid customer service skills.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Ability to work from remote sites and manage workload.
• Strong accountability focus.
• Excellent computer skills including Windows-based programs.
• Travel up to 70%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and foster positive relationships with national account partners across departments (Installers, Lumber/Garden, Pro Desk, Outside Sales).
• Provide training, field expertise, execute product launches, distribute catalogs & samples, and prepare quotes.
• Collaborate with retail partners’ set teams to ensure merchandising integrity and displays.
• Monitor pricing, products, and competition; recommend changes based on market data.
• Organize daily visits to stores, train staff, and support events; submit activity reports and territory analyses.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues and proposing solutions with installers.
