Job summary

Alkermes is seeking a Territory Business Manager to lead product promotion in the Iowa territory. You will educate healthcare providers, develop territory plans and use approved resources to drive appropriate product use.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS and 2+ years pharma sales, live in Iowa, and can manage expenses. The role offers a base salary between 125k and 155k, plus a 45k incentive bonus and long-term incentives; benefits and remote options are included.

Qualifications

• BA/BS is required.
• 2+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience.
• Must live within the geography of responsibility.
• Driver's license in good standing.
• Must be able to demonstrate or secure credentialing as may be required by healthcare providers for access to facilities.

Responsibilities

• Understand Alkermes products, disease states and related products in the marketplace.
• Demonstrate selling skills using approved aids and studies, with strong communication with targeted healthcare providers.
• Identify and call on appropriate healthcare provider targets with required frequency to ensure proper product usage.
• Utilize resources and programs to grow the business and discuss territory performance with the District Business Leader (DBL).
• Develop business plans and perform administrative tasks in a timely, accurate and compliant manner.
• Exercise fiscal control of operational expenses (car, gas, office supplies, travel, lodging, meals).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including other reps, DBL, RMDs, Marketing, and Key Accounts.
• Adhere to Alkermes policies on promotional compliance and sample accountability.
