Job summary

Alkermes is seeking a Territory Business Manager to drive sales in the Iowa territory and support promotional efforts. Ideal candidates are proven sales performers located in the territory with strong product knowledge and selling skills.

The TBM will use resources to educate healthcare providers, develop business plans, manage expenses, and maintain target lists. The role requires strong analytical abilities and collaboration with DBL, RMDs, marketing, and HQ teams.

Qualifications

• BA/BS is required.
• 2+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience required.
• Must live within the geography of responsibility.
• Driver's license must be in good standing.
• Must be able to demonstrate or secure appropriate credentialing as may be required by healthcare providers for physical access to facilities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Alkermes products, disease states and marketplace.
• Demonstrate strong selling skills using approved aids and studies; engage healthcare providers.
• Manage territory by identifying and calling on appropriate healthcare provider targets with required frequency.
• Utilize resources and programs to increase business; discuss territory business with DBL as needed.
• Develop business plans as required by the DBL and perform administrative tasks.
• Exercise fiscal control of operational expenses (car, gas, etc.).
• Collaborate with colleagues in related roles (sales, DBL, marketing, accounts).
• Abide by Alkermes policies on promotional and sample accountability.
