Job summary

EMC Insurance Companies is seeking a territory and agency management professional to drive profitable premium growth, develop strategies, and collaborate with internal partners to maximize revenue across an assigned market.

You will own the business development process, build agency partnerships in person, and lead a broad sales plan with high visibility and joint planning. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in property and casualty underwriting, claims, sales territory development, or agency work.
• Insurance designations CPCU or CIC or license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee an assigned territory with agency partners to drive profitable premium growth.
• Create and execute territory and agency strategies with internal partners.
• Own the business development process and build a pipeline of new business and renewals.
• Identify prospects, survey agencies, and obtain completed applications.
• Develop strong producer relationships through visibility and joint sales planning.
• Coordinate with branches to address issues and align cross-department actions.
