Job summary

EMC Insurance seeks a Territory Sales Manager to own a portfolio of independent agency relationships, drive profitable growth, and help agents succeed through consultative sales, training, and business planning.

You will collaborate with underwriters, identify opportunities, and influence territory strategy while mentoring agency leaders and representing EMC at meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent experience.
• Five years in property and casualty underwriting, claims, sales territory development, or agency experience.
• Insurance designations CPCU or CIC or agent license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned territory to drive profitable growth and goals.
• Develop and execute territory and agency strategies for new business and retention.
• Partner with underwriters to qualify risks and manage pipelines.
• Build relationships with agency owners and staff as trusted partners.
• Provide agency training on EMC products and sales processes.
• Lead agency business planning and performance reviews.
• Gather market intelligence to support strategic decisions.
• Represent EMC at agency meetings and events.
