Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in the United States is seeking a Telehealth On-Call APC to provide telephonic/telehealth care and direction to patients, caregivers and facility staff 24/7, including holidays. This remote role supports multiple markets with a mix of day and night shifts and weekends.

The position requires an NP with an MSN/ DNP, Ohio licensure, and board certification in an NP specialty, plus DEA licensure or ability to obtain it post-hire. Minimum 3+ years of APC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• NP: Graduate of an accredited Master of Science Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice program
• Active and unrestricted license in the state of Ohio and ability to start the process of obtaining additional licensure prior to start date
• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner in one of: Family, Adult, Gerontology, or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care
• DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire per state regulations
• 3+ years of clinical experience as an APC

Responsibilities

• Available on telephonic platform to coordinate and manage care for members across care settings
• Utilize EMR to provide acute care during all shifts and holiday hours
• Deliver cost-effective, high-quality care and manage medical and behavioral conditions in collaboration with physicians
• Coordinate care as members transition through levels of care and settings
• Attend mandatory training requirements and participate in quality initiatives
