Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Telephonic Nurse Practitioner licensed in Ohio to provide 24/7 telehealth care through our Urgent Care program. This remote, full-time position requires after-hours coverage, weekends, and holidays.

You will use telehealth platforms and EMR to assess and manage medical and behavioral health needs, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure compliant documentation under CMS guidelines. A strong commitment to patient-centered care is essential.

Qualifications

• NP: Graduate of an accredited Master of Science Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice program.
• Active and unrestricted Ohio NP license with ability to start the process of obtaining additional licensure prior to start date.
• Current DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations.
• 3+ years of clinical experience as an APC.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic/telehealth care to members 24/7.
• Coordinate care with caregivers, facilities, and providers.
• Utilize EMR to document findings and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Deliver cost-effective, high-quality care across medical and behavioral health.
• Conduct assessments and document in CMS-compliant format.
• Participate in quality initiatives and complete mandatory trainings.
