Placements24 is seeking a Remote Telecom Solutions Engineer to design, present, and validate telecom solutions for clients worldwide. You will work with sales and clients to capture requirements, architect robust voice, data, and networking solutions, and deliver compelling technical proposals and demonstrations.

The role requires a strong telecom background, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple remote projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE/CS/Telecommunications or related field.
• 5+ years as Solutions Engineer/Pre-Sales in telecom.
• Deep knowledge of VoIP, IP networking, 4G/5G, cloud communications, UC.
• Experience with network design, routing, firewalls, and security.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for client-facing work.
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects remotely.
• CRM familiarity and sales process experience.
• CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certifications are a plus.
• Experience with Northern Cape or similar regions is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust telecommunications solutions tailored to client requirements, encompassing voice, data, and networking services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, or similar technical role in the telecommunications industry.


• In-depth knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including VoIP, IP networking, mobile technologies (4G/5G), cloud communications, and unified communications.


• Experience with network design, routing protocols, firewalls, and security principles.


• Excellent presentation, demonstration, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.


• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales processes.


• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.


• Experience supporting clients or projects in the Northern Cape or similar regions is beneficial.
