Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Technical Writer / Knowledge Management Specialist for a partner program in the United States. The role blends technical writing, KM governance, and documentation support within a government technology environment.

Remote work with occasional travel to Columbus, OH for onsite meetings is required. You will translate engineering concepts into clear user manuals, design and manage a KM system, and create training materials for modernization, UI/UX, and compliance

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical writing, knowledge management or related discipline.
• Experience establishing knowledge management systems from scratch.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly docs and training.
• Experience with complex IT systems, legacy modernization, data migration.
• Familiarity with government deliverables and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering concepts into user manuals and training materials.
• Plan and manage the knowledge management system from ground up.
• Develop docs supporting modernization, UI/UX deployments, and RMF/ATO.
• Produce artifacts showing controls for RMF/ATO activities.
• Edit and proofread documents for accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare presentations and materials for reviews and meetings.
• Maintain version control and content organization across artifacts.
• Ensure documents are marked and safeguarded as CUI per DoD requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and systems teams on structure and content.
• Support modernization efforts including data migration and transitions.
