Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking a ClaimsXM Technical Writer to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. You will translate complex IT governance information into clear user documentation and bridge gaps between subject‑matter experts and front‑end users.

Responsibilities include researching, writing, editing, formatting, and maintaining policies, SOPs, and procedures; conducting testing, and coordinating yearly updates. Strong communication and training skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years technical writing and training experience in a fast‑paced IT organization.
• Experience working directly with technical and operational team members.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to learn new processes, software, hardware and technical concepts quickly.
• Analytical mindset to digest large amounts of data and extract relevant information.
• Time management skills to juggle multiple projects with deadlines.
• Ability to tailor the tone and structure to the reader’s proficiency.
• Knowledge of the 7 C's of Technical Writing.
• Proficiency with documentation software.

Responsibilities

• Research and Analyze – collaborate with users and staff to gather technical information.
• Review sources to determine what to include in documents.
• Write, edit, format, and design materials for varied audiences.
• Create and maintain IT governance docs including policies and SOPs.
• Test and redesign content for consistency, accuracy, and clarity.
• Maintain yearly reviews and updates of governance documentation.
• Communicate clearly, with strong public speaking and training skills.
