Job summary

Linnworks is seeking a Technical Writer for a full-time remote maternity cover in Estonia. You will convert product details from Product Managers and Engineers into help centre articles, user guides, API docs, and in-app content. You’ll own docs end-to-end and help keep information accurate as the product evolves.

You’ll influence style guides and templates, collaborate with Support and Customer Success, and work on multiple projects with self-direction and organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional technical writing in SaaS or software.
• Explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly.
• Strong written English with good grammar and tone.
• Experience with engineers/product managers to gather information.
• Experience using AI writing/authoring tools.
• Familiarity with documentation/help centre platforms (Confluence, Zendesk Guide, ReadMe, GitBook).
• Basic understanding of APIs, releases, and software concepts.
• Experience with Markdown, HTML/CSS, or static site generators.
• A strong published documentation portfolio.
• Ability to manage multiple docs projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain user guides, help centre articles, release notes, API docs, and in-app content.
• Partner with PMs and Engineers to understand features before release and translate to docs.
• Interview SMEs to extract and structure technical information.
• Own docs end-to-end from planning through publishing and upkeep.
• Refresh existing docs as product evolves and fix gaps with Support.
• Contribute to style guides, templates, and content standards.
• Collaborate with Support to identify documentation gaps from tickets.
• Contribute to information architecture decisions for docs site.
• Use analytics to measure content effectiveness and prioritise updates.
• Occasionally support other content needs like release announcements and onboarding.
