Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Technical Writer for the Caribbean region on a remote basis. You will document procedures, create process flows and operating instructions, and maintain forms to support new or updated processes and technologies across the organization.

Work with scrum teams to produce high-quality documentation, convert complex material into clear language, and write user manuals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, IT, or CS.
• 5-7 years of technical writing experience in software development.
• Experience with Agile teams.
• Excellent English skills.
• Experience with Camtasia or Snagit.
• Experience reading, creating and maintaining RESTful API documentation.

Responsibilities

• Work with scrum teams to understand product and documentation needs.
• Produce high quality documentation for business continuity.
• Create software documentation with SMEs and technical staff.
• Convert complex technical documents into easy language for multiple audiences
• Communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Analyze existing content and improve/update transcripts, meeting notes.
• Write user manuals and how-to guides for staff.
• Incorporate animation, video, and photos as needed.
• Analyze content for reuse and single sourcing opportunities.
• Create and maintain information architecture.
