Job summary

Bright Pattern is hiring a Technical Writer II to create and update tutorials, guides, quick starts, manuals, reference materials, and API documentation for our cloud contact center solution. You will interpret technical specs, test features, and develop content that serves as the first level of customer support.

The role requires 3+ years of writing user-facing content, strong API documentation skills, and the ability to work with engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience writing user-facing technical content.
• Strong understanding of API documentation.
• Excellent active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to write intelligently about SaaS solutions.
• Experience performing technical tasks such as installing, upgrading, and testing software.
• Familiarity with wiki markup.
• Goal-oriented, works independently or as part of a team, and meets deadlines.
• Adherence to in-house style guidelines and expert knowledge of English spelling and grammar.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical specifications and design documents.
• Hands-on testing of software features.
• Write accurate technical documentation including tutorials, instructional guides, quick starts, product manuals, reference materials, and best practices.
• Develop expert knowledge of Bright Pattern products.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and product management to produce high-quality content that serves as the first level of support for customers.
• Document APIs and integrations.
• Manage and track assigned tasks, ensuring all due dates are met.
