Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring for a remote contract-to-hire role based out of McAllen, TX. The position centers on handling high-volume consumer calls and emails about installation guidance, product information, and troubleshooting in a hardware/home improvement context.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in customer support or call centers, strong typing speeds, and basic mechanical aptitude. Bilingual in Spanish or French is a plus; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in a product-based customer support or call center preferred.
• Experience in hardware/home improvement industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle high volume consumer calls and emails.
• Provide product information and installation instructions.
• Direct customers to appropriate sources when needed.
• Record data on computer systems with pertinent information.
• Assess product problems to determine repair or discard.
• Assist customers with installation techniques and product features.
