Job summary

TEKsystems is partnering with a family-owned Oregon manufacturer to hire a Technical Support Specialist. This hybrid role includes remote Fridays and a long-term path through contract-to-hire, ideal for someone with a strong technical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems and working directly with customers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle approximately 10–30 customer calls and emails per day.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues with customers over the phone and email.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation to identify problems.
• Guide customers through diagnostic and repair processes.
• Coordinate replacement part orders and warranty requests.
• Document service cases and maintain accurate records in company systems.
• Escalate complex issues to engineering or management when necessary.
• Coordinate service support and follow up to ensure issues are fully resolved.
• Partner with engineering and quality teams to provide product feedback and support continuous improvement.
