Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. is seeking a Technical Support Engineer 2 to join the Managed Services team.

You will provide system management and monitoring to meet SLA requirements and support Windows, Linux, Cloud, application and network issues across a multi-data center environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Information Technology.
• 3+ years on Windows and/or Linux platforms; troubleshoot at OS and app level.
• 3+ years with VMware and virtual infrastructure.
• Experience with Active Directory including replication and GPOs.
• Experience with Office 365, SCCM and related Microsoft products.
• Networking hardware knowledge: routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers.
• SQL and IIS administration experience.
• Python, PowerShell or PHP scripting experience.
• Backup and patching knowledge; strong troubleshooting skills.
• Project management orientation; good documentation skills.
• Detail-oriented, able to multitask and prioritize; team player.
• Occasional travel; Ansible experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on virtual platforms and infrastructure (vCenter/vCloud).
• Perform VMware maintenance activities and configuration tasks.
• Assist with firewall configuration and policy tuning (Palo Alto/ Panorama).
• Support VPNs, NAT rules, and security settings for threat prevention.
• Manage Windows servers, clustering, DHCP, DNS, WINS, DFS.
• Troubleshoot routing, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Help create and maintain team standards, policies and procedures.
• Manage Active Directory integrations and security models.
• Troubleshoot web services (IIS, Apache, ColdFusion).
• Provide technical support for Windows and Linux servers to DataBank customers.
• Assist with deployment and maintenance of client systems.
• Provide proactive monitoring of production systems and alerts.
• Assist in project timelines and scope; lead in plan-through-implementation.
• Document procedures; prepare guidelines; participate in on-call rotation.
