Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. is seeking a Technical Support Engineer 2 to join the Managed Services team. You will provide system management and monitoring for SLA compliance across Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms within a multi-data center environment.

The role demands strong VMware, AD, and networking skills, plus experience with Palo Alto firewalls and global IT operations. On-call rotation and after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• 3+ years on Windows and/or Linux platforms; troubleshoot app and Server OS connectivity.
• 3+ years with VMware and virtual infrastructure.
• Experience with Active Directory including replication, GPOs, redirect.
• Experience with Microsoft products (SharePoint, Office 365, SCCM).
• Networking with Routers/Switches/Firewalls/Load balancers; TCP/IP skills.
• 3+ years with SQL Server and IIS; scripting in PowerShell, Python or PHP.
• Experience with MySQL, Apache and ColdFusion.
• Backup, patching knowledge; strong troubleshooting and customer service.
• Project management ability, documentation, and on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on VMware, vCenter, and vCloud.
• Perform VMware maintenance and platform configuration tasks.
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls; Palo Alto and Panorama experience preferred.
• Manage firewall policies, NAT, VPN, and threat prevention settings.
• Administer Windows servers (DHCP, DNS, WINS, DFS) and AD across domains.
• Troubleshoot routing, firewalls, and load balancers; diagnose network issues.
• Create and maintain team standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide support for Windows and Linux servers; assist with deployments.
• Monitor production systems for performance, hardware failures, and alerts.
• Support on-call rotation and after-hours availability; assist project work.
