Job summary

11:11 Systems is seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer L2 to manage all aspects of our cloud compute systems. This full-time role reports to the Manager of Cloud Operations and focuses on capacity planning, cluster provisioning, fleet management, monitoring, and escalations.

You will own incident response, KPI reporting, and work with global data centers, ensuring data privacy and security in line with our policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years recent experience as a VMware administrator.
• VMware VCP or VCAP certified preferred.
• Extensive VMware management tool experience (vCenter, vCloudDirector, NSX).
• Experience with backup and DR solutions (Veeam, Zerto).
• Understanding of BaaS, IaaS and DRaaS in cloud environments.
• Experience with global data center environments.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide ownership and accountability of all cloud compute system responsibilities.
• Handle cluster provisioning, alert monitoring, and environmental management.
• Serve as escalation engineer for customer problems and participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Provide escalation support to Level I Cloud Operations Engineers.
• Manage cluster compute capacity (hosts, CPU/memory, etc.).
• Develop, track, and report KPIs for cloud system capacity.
• Respond to escalated tickets with accurate, timely communication.
• Follow 11:11 Systems best practices for cloud compute systems management.
• Deliver superior customer service while upholding company ethics and policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues in line with company values and data handling rules.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
