Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. seeks a Technical Service Representative for the Equipment Support Team in North America. You will provide remote technical assistance for various industrial gas equipment and technologies, collaborating with customers, delivery drivers, Sales, Engineering, and internal teams.

The role requires overnight hours with four 10-hour shifts Thu-Sun and up to 5% travel. You will troubleshoot remotely, monitor alarms, document in SAP, and coordinate service requests to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Technical, mechanical, equipment maintenance, or troubleshooting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal and customer service skills across departments.
• Proactive, able to learn new technologies independently.
• Flexible, adaptable in a dynamic environment.

• Sound decision-making and problem-solving under time pressure.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and PC-based systems.
• Experience with cryogenic liquid bulk equipment or related tech preferred.
• Experience supporting customers or field personnel preferred.
• This is a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical troubleshooting and support to customers and internal teams.
• Support safe, reliable operation of customer equipment and systems.
• Evaluate incoming issues, determine urgency, and coordinate response.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes by phone using resources and data.
• Monitor, respond to, and document alarms via the Advanced Systems platform.
• Document issues in SAP and other applicable systems.
• Coordinate service requests and follow-up to ensure completion.
• Process environmental incidents and account-related requests.
• Review requests from Engineering and Sales for customers.
• Prioritize issues to minimize interruptions and schedule work efficiently.
• Communicate status and next steps with customers and teammates.
• Complete tasks professionally and client-centered.
