Job summary

Emerson in Columbus, OH is seeking a Technical Field Sales Professional to strengthen customer partnerships and drive Flow sales in Central OH. This remote, field‑based role supports management of assigned accounts within the region, with travel as required.

You will develop account plans, present solutions, and collaborate with internal teams to maximize opportunities and deliver measurable value. A 1+ year technical sales background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or combination of education and experience relevant to our products and industry.
• 1+ year of related technical sales experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to travel within territory with potential overnight stays.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key stakeholders across assigned accounts.
• Develop and execute account plans to identify opportunities and drive demand.
• Present customer‑focused solutions that show Emerson offerings address challenges and add value.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities from lead to purchase order.
• Collaborate with internal partners to align and pursue strategies.
• Apply pricing strategies balancing customer needs with business objectives.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to uncover opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM data for activities, forecasts and insights.
