Job summary

Composites One is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support customers across Western Michigan, including Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, and surrounding communities. The role combines technical consultation with sales responsibilities, focusing on growing revenue in the assigned territory while maintaining profitability and strong customer relationships.

Remote work is supported with local and regional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in composites industry or industrial manufacturing OR 3+ years in sales/customer service with proven sales success.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to learn internal database and software systems.
• Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques and composites markets.
• Strong sales aptitude and ability to increase profits and market share.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of customer contact and relationships with integrity and core values.
• Cultivate relationships to increase sales revenue within assigned territory.
• Meet Territory Budget Goals, including Sales and Gross Profit Margin.
• Prepare action plans and schedules to identify targets and number of contacts.
• Monitor customer satisfaction, inventory needs and cross-selling opportunities.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers and internal team on pricing, inventory and quality.
• Communicate new product opportunities and feedback to internal staff and customers.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships as a technical resource and solutions provider.
• Uncover new opportunities within the territory and increase product share.
• Organize and protect sales in territory; manage resources for ROI.
