Job summary

Biotage is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to sell core chemistry instruments and consumables to chemists in pharma, biotech, CRO, academia, and government accounts. You will perform hands-on instrument demonstrations, manage demos and resources, and train customers to maximize product benefits.

In this role you will drive consumable sales growth in your defined territory, maintain existing customers, and identify new ones while delivering accurate forecasts and quotes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science-related field or equivalent.
• Experience selling scientific equipment is a plus.
• Proven track record of success in sales and account management.
• Experience with pricing for government or grant-based customers is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Sell core chemistry instruments and consumables to chemists in pharma, biotech, CRO, academia, and government accounts.
• Demonstrate instruments and related products to show business value and product differentiation.
• Manage demo resources and ensure customers are trained to realize maximum benefit.
• Grow consumable product sales in defined territory with Inside Sales Representative.
• Maintain current customers and identify new ones; provide accurate sales forecasts.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets; document activity in Salesforce.
• Generate quotes and negotiate final prices within authorized limits; provide reports on demand.
• Travel 3–5 days per week in the field; 1–2 overnights per month.
