Job summary

Alloy Engineering seeks an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to drive revenue in the nitric acid sector. This remote role focuses on nitric acid producers, chemical manufacturers, metal companies, and industrial customers across the South Central U.S. territory.

A chemical/mechanical engineering background plus 3+ years in technical sales is required. You will develop opportunities, review customer requirements, and deliver engineered solutions with corrosion-resistant alloys and custom

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3+ years in sales engineering, technical sales, industrial sales, business development, or process equipment sales.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across the South Central U.S. territory.
• Build relationships with plant engineers, maintenance managers, project managers, procurement teams, and key decision-makers.
• Identify customer needs and provide technical solutions involving corrosion-resistant alloys and custom-fabricated equipment.
• Recommend materials, fabrication methods, and engineered solutions based on customer applications.
• Manage the sales process from prospecting and quoting through project award and delivery.
• Develop strategic account plans to grow revenue and expand market share.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Monitor industry trends, plant expansions, maintenance projects, and capital investments to identify new opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales activity and customer information within CRM systems.
