Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join the Cold Chain Technical Sales team. This role focuses on OEM customers, applying Copeland controls to end-user applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The position requires a BS in Engineering or related field, 2 years in relevant industry, and 40–50% travel. Located in the Atlanta region with hybrid in-office requirements.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Two years in food retail/foodservice product development/engineering/field service/technical support.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice.
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.
• Proven success in a technical role in food retail/foodservice or similar.
• Strong analytical, coordination and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel 40–50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical SME for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and services.
• Serve as OEM application expert for assigned customers.
• Understand market trends and competitive capabilities of controls and services.
• Collaborate with sales to engage customers and involve Solution Architecture, PM, Systems Engineering as needed.
• Create high-level technical requirements for new OEM opportunities, including BOMs and integrations.
• Coordinate with Copeland teams to ensure successful deployment of controls and services.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach across land, implement and expand phases of the sales cycle.
