Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer in the United States with hybrid work options and remote US availability. Based in Sidney, OH, you will become a technical expert on Copeland Cold Chain controls, partnering with an Account Executive to specify, implement and expand Copeland solutions for OEM customers.

You will collaborate across Product, Engineering and Field Services, traveling 40-50% to engage customers and drive successful deployments of controls and related services.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, or related technical discipline -or- equivalent industry experience.
• Two years of food retail or foodservice product development / engineering / field service / technical support or related experience.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice, including E3 and Site Supervisor.
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.
• Demonstrated success in a technical role in the food retail/foodservice industry or similar.
• Ability to travel 40-50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical subject matter expert for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and applicable services.
• Serve as OEM application expert and collaborate with the sales team on customer engagements.
• Create high level technical requirements for new OEM opportunities, including hardware BOM and integrations.
• Collaborate with Copeland execution teams to ensure successful deployment of controls and services.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach across land, implement and expand phases of the sales cycle.
