Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks a Technical Director for the UPS Dedicated Team. The role is fully remote with travel to customer locations, and collaborates with the Global CoE Health & Safety to advance standards, governance, and strategy.

The candidate will have 10+ years of related experience, strong leadership and relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to manage complex technical programs in risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; 10+ years in loss prevention or safety.
• Advanced degree and/or professional certification (CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, or CPE) preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills; ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and industry contacts.

Responsibilities

• Direct development, implementation, and direction of UPS H&S Standards.
• Translate risks and industry best practices for field application.
• Develop talent strategy and mentor staff within the discipline.
• Lead governance and strategy initiatives; manage projects from initiation to execution.
• Demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder influence to meet objectives.
• Foster continuous improvement and measurable progress in safety programs.
