Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks a Technical Director to lead UPS Health & Safety standards with remote flexibility and travel to client sites. You will shape strategy, manage risk assessments, and drive governance across locations, partnering with leadership to elevate safety programs.

The role requires a strong background in safety, leadership, and experience managing complex initiatives in a distributed environment. Domestic travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in math, engineering or related areas and at least 10 years of directly related consulting experience in loss prevention or progressive safety/health field.
• Advanced knowledge in strategy planning, risk assessment, risk analysis, regulatory compliance and technology solutions management.
• Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop teams; travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct development, implementation and direction of UPS H&S Standards; plan strategically and drive capability advancement.
• Translate emerging risks and best practices for field application to support business objectives.
• Develop talent strategy and partner with H&S leadership to transfer knowledge.
• Lead project and change management for standards development and governance.
• Collaborate across leaders to deliver technology solutions and measure progress.
