Legence is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager who leads by building. This role blends hands-on coding, system design, and team leadership, acting as the trusted technical voice for business stakeholders.

You’ll ship production code, review PRs, and guide a team of engineers in solving complex problems. The ideal candidate excels at presenting solution approaches to executives and implementing tricky integrations, with deep practical experience in AI-enabled software development and enterprise

Responsibilities

Build and ship production-ready solutions: services, integrations, automation, and prototypes.
Own technical decisions on initiatives: architecture, build-vs-buy, tooling, and integration approach.
Set the technical bar through code reviews and mentorship to help engineers learn.
Lead AI-driven development: use AI coding assistants, integrate LLM APIs into products and internal tools.
Ensure solutions integrate with ERP/CRM, identity, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, with security and scalability in mind.
Lead a team of engineers daily: set direction, assign ownership, and focus on high-value work.
Mentor engineers through pairing, design discussions, and constructive feedback.
Foster a strong engineering culture with high code quality and shared ownership of outcomes.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and developing senior engineers into technical leaders.
Shield the team from noise, manage ambiguity, and frame problems clearly for engineers.
Encourage adoption of AI development tools and establish best practices for their use.
