Job summary

PlanIT Group is seeking an experienced Technical Lead for a remote/onsite role to drive delivery for a U.S. government client.

The candidate will act as the accountable technical delivery lead across an application team, translating priorities into executable plans and coordinating engineering, architecture, security, and operations with vendor resources. Qualifications

10+ years in technology delivery roles.
Ability to lead through influence without direct supervision.
Experience with AI/ML concepts and governance.
Strong delivery discipline and risk/issue management.
Experience with work management/ITSM tools.

Responsibilities

Provide end‑to‑end delivery leadership for an assigned application team by coordinating work across US Government Client and vendor resources without direct supervisory authority.
Translate business objectives into delivery execution: drive scope clarity, sequencing, milestones, and deliverable commitments in partnership with US Government Client leadership and stakeholders.
Lead cross‑functional planning and dependency management across teams (integrations, environments, security/network reviews, release coordination, vendor/supplier timelines).
Provide consistent status reporting to US Government Client leadership, including progress, risks/issues, decisions needed, dependencies, and mitigation plans; ensure actions are tracked to closure.
Coordinate priorities and capacity: ensure there is a steady pipeline of
ready” work, align work assignments with technical leads, and maintain delivery flow so team capacity is effectively utilized.
