Job summary

Amentum, a global engineering and technology leader, seeks a Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager to support Form 10-Q/10-K filings, stock compensation, pensions, derivatives, and related areas. This role requires US citizenship, extensive accounting experience, and leadership of a small team.

The position is local remote-telework with a requirement to live within two hours of Reston, VA or Fort Worth, TX offices. Compensation ranges from 140k to 155k USD depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Typically, eight (8) years of accounting experience or six (6) years of public accounting experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• US Citizenship is required.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for close processes.
• Explain forecast vs actual variances and develop conclusions.
• Coordinate public filings (10-Q/10-K) and related footnotes.
• Lead projects and supervise team members for process improvements.
• Interact with external auditors as a liaison.
