Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager to support Form 10-Q and Form 10-K filings, including stock compensation, pensions, and derivatives. The role requires close collaboration across accounting functions and supervision of team members.

The ideal candidate will have extensive accounting experience, US citizenship, and a CPA is preferred. This local remote-telework position requires residing within two hours of Reston, VA or Fort Worth, TX offices.

Qualifications

• Eight years of accounting experience or six years public accounting with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• US Citizenship is required.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience auditing a public client or working for a public company within corporate accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret accounting policies and GAAP in cross-functional capacity.
• Prepare memos, journal entries, and disclosures for filings.
• Lead projects and coordinate between groups to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform monthly/quarterly/annual close activities with reconciliations.
• Provide training plans and drive process improvements in accounting operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
