Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager to lead the financial reporting process and advise on complex accounting issues. Remote role with domestic travel 2x per quarter.

You will coordinate month-end close, consolidate intercompany eliminations, and develop accounting policies while partnering with external auditors and consultants to ensure US GAAP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of internal and external monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statement footnotes and supporting documentation.
• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Review consolidation processes, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliations.
• Maintain thorough documentation supporting financial statements and disclosures.
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
• Research, analyze, and document technical accounting issues in formal memos, prepare calculations to support accounting conclusions, and facilitate external audit review in accordance with US GAAP.
• Coordinate and partner with external technical accounting consultants to prepare accounting analyses and position papers to evaluate accounting issues and arrive at well-supported conclusions.
• Identify and assess complex accounting issues arising from operational changes and new initiatives.
• Gather facts and business context from stakeholders across the organization to facilitate technical accounting assessments.
• Develop, maintain, and operationalize accounting policies and procedures, and support the adoption and implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with accounting considerations related to strategic projects, business transactions, and transformation initiatives.
• Serve as an internal subject-matter resource on accounting policy application and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial reporting and close processes.
• Identify process inefficiencies, control gaps, and reporting risks, and implement solutions to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead efforts to standardize finance master data, including chart of accounts governance and reporting structures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve financial visibility throughout the organization.
• Provide financial insights and accounting guidance to support operational and strategic decision-making.
