Job summary

SAIC offers a Tech Writer/Editor role supporting the Edifecs application suite for VA projects. This 100% remote position requires clear, scalable technical documentation developed for large, regulated environments.

The role focuses on creating and updating reports, manuals, and procedures, collaborating with SMEs, PMs, and engineers, and ensuring high-quality publications with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing, editing, and maintaining technical documentation and manuals.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication with high attention to detail, grammar, and style.
• Experience collaborating with subject matter experts, program managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Write and update material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, and instructions.
• Refine work of writers and coordinate activities of writers for technical publications.
• Apply industry practices and standards to documentation.
• Develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Work with minimal supervision and ensure accuracy of publications.
• Represent organization on project-specific communications with clients.
