Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks an experienced technical writer to join the Veterans Affairs program in a remote, United States-based role. You will develop, edit, and maintain manuals, reports, proposals, and related publications ensuring clarity and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, editing, and maintaining technical publications and manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.
• Translate complex information into clear, user-friendly documentation.
• Collaborate with SMEs, PgMs, engineers, and stakeholders to gather/validate information.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and document collaboration tools.
• Manage multiple projects with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of publication standards and style guides.
• Experience supporting proposal development and government contracting.
• Familiarity with content management systems and workflow tools.
• Experience creating SOPs, training materials, or user guides.
• Experience with MS Office tools including Visio or similar.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and customer engagements.
• Self-motivated with a strong customer-service orientation.
• Adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
• Commitment to producing accurate, high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities
