Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) in a fully remote U.S.-based role seeks an experienced technical writer to support Veterans Affairs (VA). The candidate should have 10+ years of professional writing experience, the ability to edit and coordinate multiple writers, and to translate complex technical information into clear documentation.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required; Edifecs experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing, editing, and maintaining technical publications.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to grammar and style.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear documentation.
• Experience collaborating with SMEs, PgMs, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document collaboration tools.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of publication standards, document control, and style guides.
• Experience supporting proposals, government contracting, or defense-related work.
• Familiarity with content management systems and workflow tools.
• Experience creating SOPs, training materials, or user guides.

Responsibilities
