Job summary

Wellington Executive Search represents a client seeking a Technical Business Development Manager for Food & Nutritional Ingredients in the Chicago area, with remote/hybrid flexibility. The role focuses on market development across the Americas, including Global Key Account activities, and requires a chemistry/food science background with at least 3 years in functional ingredients.

The candidate will lead technical discussions, build customer relationships, and drive new business opportunities,

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree is required. A degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or other Science is required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in functional food and/or nutritional ingredients with knowledge of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fiber, botanicals, protein, etc.

Responsibilities

Support the Sales team with complex technical requests.
Visit distributors and end customers in alignment with Sales.
Develop relationships with technical counterparts of customers and prospects.
Participate in events (trade shows, webinars, conferences) to promote products and capabilities.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities and lead customer projects to implementation.
