Nutritional ingredients company seeks a dynamic Head of Business Development to lead sales, cultivate new markets, and drive growth. The role involves building relationships with R&D, procurement, marketing, quality, and production teams, while steering contracts, budgets, and strategic initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 5–10+ years in food/nutraceutical sales, a science background, and a track record of opening markets; MBA is a plus.

Qualifications

• High level of experience as a sales leader with a proven track record of new sales and opening new markets.
• Experience in acquisitions is highly desired; entrepreneurial startup experience.
• Science degree is a big plus; 5–10+ years in food/nutraceutical industries.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily sales, contacting customers across R&D, Procurement, Marketing, Quality, Production, Regulatory Affairs and Communications.
• Negotiate contracts and identify opportunities to broaden the portfolio.
• Develop and execute the sales budget in line with senior management.
• Coordinate all sales-related activities including marketing, forecasting, trade shows, and communications plans.
• Lead technical-based relationships with customers and distributors; train customers on our products.
