Filed is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates anywhere in the United States except New York, with a preference for Pacific or Mountain time zones. You will act as a bridge between customers and engineering, reproducing issues, and writing precise tickets for fixes that ship quickly.

The role emphasizes clear communication, rigorous testing, and ownership of problem-solving from reproduction to post-release validation.

Qualifications

Hands-on QA or software testing experience, reproducing bugs and writing steps for engineers.
Customer support experience using ticket systems like Zendesk/Intercom/Freshdesk.
Tax knowledge from firm, software company, or returns experience.
Familiarity with major tax platforms (CCH Axcess/UltraTax/Lacerte/ProConnect).
Bonus if you’ve used Linear or Jira, browser dev tools, or screen recording.

Responsibilities

Reproduce customer-reported issues step by step and document exact steps.
Write clear Linear tickets with precise steps, expectations, and samples.
Answer customer tickets quickly and clearly in our support inbox.
Troubleshoot issues and find quick workarounds to keep firms moving.
Verify fixes before customer update and perform regression testing after releases.
Spot patterns across tickets and flag them to prevent spread.
