This role sits between customers and engineering, focusing on reproducing issues, writing precise tickets, and driving fixes that ship to firms the same day. You’ll learn how real firms use tax software and how software gets built, with a fast-paced environment and strong growth potential as our revenue scales.

Qualifications

• Hands-on QA or software testing experience with bug reproduction and writing up issues for engineers.
• Customer support experience using ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk or similar).
• A tax background through a tax/accounting firm, tax software company, or returns preparation.
• Familiarity with major tax platforms (CCH Axcess, UltraTax, Lacerte, ProConnect, Drake, GoSystem).
• Bonus if you’ve used Linear or Jira, plus browser dev tools or screen recording to capture issues.

Responsibilities

• Reproduce customer-reported issues step by step inside Filed and tax software firms’ tools.
• Write clear, complete Linear tickets with exact steps, expected vs actual results, screenshots and data.
• Answer customer tickets quickly and clearly in the support inbox.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and find workarounds to keep firms moving.
• Verify fixes before sending back to customers and perform regression testing after releases.
• Spot patterns across tickets and flag them before they spread.
