Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Systems Engineer III for a remote role with periodic travel to bank hubs. You will design and deliver automation-driven desktop and endpoint management solutions supporting 20,000+ end users.

The role emphasizes proactive health checks, self-healing remediation, and reducing manual tasks across Windows and Mac environments. The ideal candidate has strong scripting skills, experience with MECM/Intune, Group Policy, and a solid foundation in enterprise endpoint

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years in systems engineering and systems programming.
• 5+ years desktop OS management experience.
• Strong PowerShell or scripting for automation.
• Experience building automated workflows, health checks, and remediation.
• 1–3 years in an Agile delivery environment.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated desktop management solutions and runbooks.
• Automate health checks, self-healing remediation, provisioning, and compliance.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize desktop environments for security and availability.
• Handle escalations, diagnose complex issues, and enable automated resolutions.
