Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Network Engineer to provide Level 2 support for data and voice network systems remotely across Arizona, North Carolina and Texas. The role involves configuring, maintaining, and upgrading network infrastructure, and supporting disaster recovery testing as part of an on-call rotation.

Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 4 years of Systems engineer experience, or a high school diploma with 8 years of experience.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols and how they interrelate.
• Technical skills in network routing, switching, and provisioning.
• Experience with Cisco switching and routing (NxOS and IOS).
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Configure and install network hardware and software infrastructure including Wireless, Route/Switch, Cisco ACI, SolarWinds Experience, Cisco SDWAN.
• Cloud Network Support/Implementation.
• Provide expertise in BGP and other dynamic routing protocols.
• Implement, document and plan regular upgrades of all devices under Network Operations responsibility while maintaining compliance with SLAs, security, OS code and configuration standards.
• Monitor and respond to system generated events to identify, analyze, resolve or escalate issues and update management.
