Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to safeguard our networks, applications, and data. The role can be hired remotely in NC, AZ, VA and TX, with after-hours support expected on a rotation.

You will administer security tools (SCCM, SCOM, Splunk), perform risk assessments, respond to incidents, and help senior leaders shape security policies and standards. Strong communication and IAM/scripting skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience in security domains.
• Alternative: High School Diploma or GED with 10 years of security/engineering experience.
• Preferred skills include IAM, SAML/OIDC, scripting (PowerShell, Python), and IAM/SSO platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administers security tools and processes; participates in audits and mitigates gaps.
• Identifies threats and vulnerabilities across networks, apps, and systems.
• Provides security guidance and leads projects; trains associates on current threats.
• Investigates and resolves complex security incidents including unauthorized access.
• Assists leadership in developing security policies, standards and strategies.
