Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a remote Senior Network Engineer to provide Tier 2 support for data or voice networks, including configuration, monitoring, and documentation updates. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendor partners, with on-call rotation for after-hours support.

You will install and maintain network hardware and software, manage assets, and participate in disaster recovery testing.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols
• Experience with network routing, switching, and provisioning
• Experience with Cisco switching and routing (NxOS and IOS)
• Collaboration with cross-functional groups

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 technical support for data or voice network systems
• Monitoring and auditing performance
• Document and procedures updates
• Operational Excellence
• Configure and install network hardware and software infrastructure including Wireless, Route/Switch, Cisco ACI, SolarWinds Experience, Cisco SDWAN
• Cloud Network Support/Implementation
• Provide expertise in BGP and other dynamic routing protocols
• Implement, document and plan regular upgrades of devices under Network Operations
• Monitor and respond to system generated events and escalations
• Collaborate with vendors and management to reduce costs
• Manage network asset inventory and capacity planning
• Assist with Disaster Recovery testing
