Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a highly skilled senior VMware VCF engineer to join our cloud infrastructure operations team. This remote role may be hired in Arizona, North Carolina or Texas, and you will design, implement and manage VMware-based infrastructure solutions to support the bank's critical applications.

The ideal candidate has deep VMware VCF expertise, strong automation skills and a collaborative mindset to mentor teammates and drive improvements across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, IT, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering and systems programming.
• Experience with VMware SDDC stack is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of VMware VCF environments.
• Develop automation scripts for deployment and maintenance.
• Provide senior-level troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate VMware VCF.
• Maintain security best practices and regulatory compliance.
