Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Network Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain our distributed network and unified communications environment across multiple states. You will monitor performance, ensure security, and support changes under ITGCs.

This role emphasizes disaster recovery planning, vendor coordination, and on-call troubleshooting in a fast-paced bank tech setting. You will lead network projects, document configurations, and mentor junior staff to uphold high availability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 7-9 years IT experience in networking/telecom.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VoIP, SIP and CTI.
• Experience with network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and QoS.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements network solutions including LANs and UC environments.
• Installs, configures, and maintains routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, VoIP, and related services.
• Monitors, maintains, and expands network capacity and performance.
• Plans upgrades with minimal business disruption.
• Maintains network security and compliance with policies.
• Develops and maintains network documentation and diagrams.
